Picture)Jerry Gelsomino is the founder of FutureBest.  He is an independent, innovative branding specialist, focused on using physical space and service activities as a marketing tool.  Respected as a keen observer of emerging consumer behavior, his ambition is to help companies and organizations to live their brand promise.  In all his endeavors, he is intent on creating the very best experience for customers, participants or the audience-at-large.

With a design background, Jerry understands the importance of defining the strategic goals of any creative endeavor, remaining focused on those objectives throughout the process; from discovery to concept, from specification to implementation.


In 2008, Jerry relocated to Hong Kong.  Locally he desires to share what he already knows as proven branding techniques.  But Jerry is also passionate to learn of Asian cultural legacies, requiring new paradigms of strategic application. Through this, it is his vision to build East/West consensus toward a new Global Business Profile.


Mr. Gelsomino has held executive positions with several international retail design firms, prior to forming Krueger Design Group, Inc. with his wife, Linda J. Krueger in 1992.  Based in Santa Monica, California, the firm successfully accomplished work for an array of national and international companies.  During this period, Jerry also launched a marketing consultancy, known as Prospect, to serve retailers, design firms, and manufacturers.


Prior to coming to Hong Kong, Mr. Gelsomino held the position of Vice President Marketing and Brand Experience for a manufacturer of communication materials for retailers.  This experience contributed to Jerry's unique insight, having held executive positions with retailers, consultants and suppliers.


In 2008, Mr. Gelsomino formed FutureBest and holds the position as Consulting Partner, providing insight to clients, collaborators and professional organizations.


Jerry is a Part-time, Visiting Lecturer to Graduate Students at Hong Kong Polytechnnic University, and Hong Kong University.  Courses taught include: Managing Corporate Reputation, Globalization in New Media Design and Technology, and Marketing Management for Digital Entertainment.


Besides project assignments, Jerry has actively participated in the intellectual growth of brand marketing by regularly contributing to numerous industry and public periodicals and as well as a speaker, with attention to consumer patterns, service innovation and brand building.  Programs include presentations for: Chain Store Age/ SPECS, NEOCON, Euroshop, RDI/VMS+SD International Design Awards, Digital Retailing Expo, Globalshop, National Retail Federation Convention, International Retail Design Conference, Action Sport Retailer, and Kelly School of Business, Indianapolis, IN.

Project Work

Jerry has extensive experience with a broad array of commercial projects across the United States, and due to a previous international assignment opportunity, Australasia as well.  His past client list includes: Coca-Cola, Coffee Bean, Dollar General Markets, Disney Regional Entertainment, Eastern Mountain Sports, Ethel M Chocolates, Hanna-Barbera, The Hollywood Bowl, Lowe's Home Improvement Centers, L.L. Bean, Miller's Outpost/Anchor Blue, Musicland Group/Best Buy, MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Rio Suites Hotel and Casino, Six Flags Theme Parks, Target (Australia), Tracker Marine, Universal Studios, Walt Disney Imagineering and Warner Bros. International Entertainment.


Since moving to Hong Kong, he has secured various roles as presenter, chairperson, contributing writer and consultant to the following organizations: American Chamber of Commerce, Entrepreneurs Club, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Henley Business School, Canadian International School, Innovations and Beacon Events.



Mr. Gelsomino earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Visual Arts from Southern Illinois University, and a Masters of Science in Management Degree from Indiana Wesleyan UniversityJerry has continued his education by participating and excelling in numerous professional development and leadership training courses.  He was a International Toastmaster Club Mentor, a graduate Crucial Conversations, Giambetti Performance Dynamics, and the Pacific Institute programs.
